A rustic hand painted sideboard with two drawers and shelving below. This wooden sideboard has been hand painted in a mix of blues hues and finished with a blend of waxes to create a distressed, aged and rustic feel with a beautiful patina. Areas of the sideboard have been sanded to reveal the bare wood and sealed with clear wax to add to the aged appearance. The open shelving has been washed with a neutral shade and the wood top has been washed in the same way with white lime wax to finish.
The two drawers run perfectly smooth, the left one has a cutlery divider inside which can be easily removed if you wish. They have been fitted with antique bronze effect cup handles to add to the modern farmhouse/country feel this piece gives.
This piece would look stunning in a hallway, living room, dining room or even a bedroom styled with your favourite items and a lamp on display, there is space for books and such on the open shelving below as well as storage in the drawers for any necessary items needing be stored but that you don’t want to display. This piece could also be used in a kitchen with pots pans and bowls etc stored on the open shelving.
The dark blue is a timeless colour that would work well with neutral and darker colours schemes in your home.

*If you require a two man service there will be an additional charge of £20 we will assume that you only need a one man service and you are able to help with your furniture should you be required. Please let us know when you order if you need to add this service on.

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
Occasional spillages will not damage your furniture, however all spillages should be cleaned up promptly.
Avoid placing cups/glasses directly on your furniture, always try to use a coaster.
Be especially careful with alcohol/makeup/nail polish remover as this will stain your furniture.
TEMPERATURE
Temperature changes can cause damage to painted or wooden furniture over time. If you can, ideally place your furniture somewhere that is less exposed to rapid temperature changes within your home.
CLEAN REGULARLY
In order to keep your furniture in the best condition I would advise to clean weekly, using a damp lint free cloth and dry thoroughly with a dry cloth.
For furniture that has been sealed with wax you can apply a clear wax once or twice a year to maintain water resistance and shine. (I recommend ‘Rust Oleum’ clear furniture wax). NOTE This only applies to chalk painted furniture.
PLACING ITEMS
I recommend using felt backing for large items such as lamps and ornaments to avoid marking your furniture.
TOUCH UPS
Make sure the area you intend to paint is clean and dry. Using a small amount of paint on your brush, touch up the necessary area and allow it to dry for at least four hours before applying a second coat.
